The Biomedical Technologist will work closely with clinical departments, suppliers, and management to support the availability and functionality of medical equipment in accordance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Install, test, maintain, calibrate, and repair medical equipment and systems.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of biomedical equipment.
Troubleshoot equipment faults and provide timely technical solutions.
Conduct regular inspection and safety checks on medical devices.
Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, calibration, and service history.
Support user training on proper operation and handling of medical equipment.
Ensure compliance with medical equipment safety standards and quality assurance procedures.
Assist in procurement processes by providing technical specifications and evaluation of biomedical equipment.
Coordinate with equipment suppliers and service providers when required.
Monitor equipment performance and recommend replacement or upgrades when necessary.
Participate in inventory management of biomedical equipment, spare parts, and accessories.
